Copper Canyon - Basaseachi, Chihuahua

Enjoy our next stories, click the video below to watch our travelogue :)

Brother's hotel - a few kilometers north of Basaseachi.
Here are a few pictures of those majestic rock formations we saw while walking through the forest which was opposite of the hotel.

And there grew a few cacti in the forest ... what a combination :D

Our track (231km): The street from Sahuaripa to the Highway 16 was a mystery to me. All my maps (Garmin, OpenStreetMap, Michelin and Google) told me a different story. Our facts: it was a paved road with plenty of potholes, rocks and short stretches with gravel (where the pavement obviously went broken). The average speed was 50km/h. There are several causeways and I am not sure how driveable this road is after a heavy rain shower. Besides all that it was a pretty scenic and lonely road with a few curves. Services in Arivechi and then again in Yecora.
